What even is Lucida?
Lucida, as a service, is a music ripper with an emphasis of ease of access, and accessibility as a whole. It's meant to be a merge of the teams from DoubleDouble and Slav Art, both the site and the Discord/Telegram bot having the goal of providing music for free. Getting rid of the bad and keeping the good, Lucida was born.
Will there be a Discord/Telegram bot?
Eventually, yes. We wanna perfect the site first, though.
How does this site work?
This site essentially functions as a wrapper of the similarly titled Lucida downloader library written in TypeScript.
As it says on the footer of every page on this site (including this one), we aren't affiliated with the library, we just make use of it.
Are you planning on adding more sites?
Since this is in beta, as I write this we plan to support all of the services supported by DoubleDouble currently.
You can see a complete list of sites we are planning to add over here.
However, we are never adding Bandcamp or YouTube Music. Bandcamp because it is primarily used by independent artists, and YouTube Music because there are so many sites that already provide this, and premium accounts are incredibly unstable.
This spectrum of this audio file looks off / FakinTheFunk says your file is fake!
We provide 100% real decrypted files from the services you request from. Some artists and labels are known to post upscaled files onto streaming services. Nothing we can do about it sadly.
All we do after decryption is add metadata.
Who made the logo, mascot, and wordmark?
The artist wanted to be credited as simply "arc".
Do you have an API?
We currently do not have an API, public or private. Please do not scrape/bot our website. The library we use is already available, and on top of that, we do eventually plan to have an open API. No ETA yet, do not ask.
Are you OSS / open-sourced?
Although we are based on OSS (see first question), at this time - the backend and frontend are not open sourced at this time.
We plan to eventually, no ETA on it yet. You can come bug us to do it faster at our community pages.
My ISP/country blocks your site! What should I do?
We currently have two official domains you can access this site from. This is mainly to circumvent network filters either installed by your workplace or country. In the case that these both don't work, we highly recommend Mullvad VPN and a DPI bypasser.
I keep getting "Failed to fetch
" (or similar) errors!
What gives?
This is most likely due to a browser extension you have. Like download managers that intercept requests.
The only confirmed module is IDM Intergration Module
,
but I'm sure there are others out there.
Simply disable it and it should be good after that!
I'm getting error code 500 on your site in my download manager
Don't use download accelerators on our site. They kinda fuck up our download system.
If you do insist on using one, just limit it to one connection.
